Candidate Profile
Having followed and participated in grassroots politics for over 40 years, I have dedicated the last five years to the intersection of politics and policy. Municipal, Provincial and Federal.
Recognized nationally for my advocacy for and creation of legislation preventing the use of Non-Disclosure Agreements that conceal child predators. I currently sit at National tables, creating recommendations for the treatment and prevention of the harm done to children and society when crime is silenced.
Developing pathways for reform to front-line services and defining legislation to better serve citizens municipally, provincially, and federally is a passion. Our children deserve better and I for one am committed to ensuring they get it.
My work has including attending unimaginable hours of Advisory committees, Senate committees, regional committees, committee of adjustments, Town Council, Hamlet, Resident Association and Community Association meetings in Halton, Collingwood, Mississauga, Manitoba, Vancouver, Victoria, Nova Scotia, Victoria and Toronto.
Imagine what we can have through transparency in politics.
Truth is a much simpler life for us all,

My Vision for Collingwood
Collingwood is at a turning point. Over the next four years, council will make choices that shape our neighbourhoods, our shoreline, and our quality of life. I envision a town where families can afford to live, seniors feel supported, and young people see a future.
I will insist on clear, public reporting on major projects, smarter long‑term planning, and meaningful consultation before big decisions are made.
I will champion safe streets, accessible public spaces, and strong support for arts, culture, and recreation.
Most of all, I will work to rebuild trust in council by showing up prepared, asking tough questions, and always putting the community’s interests first.
ISSUES that need addressing ...
Waterfront Protection
Arts and Recreation
Complete moratorium on the water side of HWY26 until all Plans of Subdivision are confirmed for accurate and up to date water, environment and community impact studies.
They must also be available publicly for view.
Assist community leaders to create a permanent place and space for Community based Theatre. Facilitate a relationship between local Theatre and Education. Theatre and the Arts provide an opportunity for youth to learn, share their love for song, dance, acting all while healing through story.
The Collingwood Terminals
Short Term Rental Policies
What is the status?
What is the monthly/yearly cost of delay?
Are the stories true of a "bladder" full of dredged contaminents ?
Whatever it is, we need to face it and proceed towards a viable economically sound project for Residents. Not developers.
Who is it working for?
Why have so few permits been issued?
When a homeowner remains in the home, why is a permit required?
Transparent Land Deals
No More Non Disclosure Agreements to prevent those who voted for us from being informed on a project. Considering land ownership is public record, the only information that may possibly require concealing is the dollar amount.
People and Services
People first, Parks where people want them not where developers will fit them it
Safe walking spaces for ALL residents of Collingwood.
Priority on high density Areas while we establish a long-term install and upkeep schedule.
Common Values

Honest Leadership
Nature and Renewal
A Promise to Listen
I promise to be completely open with everyone who lives here in Collingwood. Being a leader means listening to ideas and always telling the truth about what is happening at Council. I will not sign non-disclosure agreements that exclude sharing project status and process from the very people who elect us. It is my job to make sure residents know exactly how public money and projects are being managed. If we keep things hidden, we are not serving our residents; we are serving special interests. I want you to feel confident that your council will be well informed on facts and truth.
Collingwood is a beautiful place, and we need to work together to keep it that way for our children and all those who come after them. I will protect our parks and waterfront so that everyone can enjoy the water and fresh air without private fences getting in the way. It is important that we grow our town carefully, making sure new buildings fit into our neighborhoods. We must also listen to our First Nations neighbours to learn how to better care for our precious wetlands and forests. By choosing smart and safe ways to build, we can keep our environment healthy and our community strong for generations to come. My goal is to make sure our nature stays green and our future stays bright for every family who calls this town home.
I hold close the memory of a 90-year-old 8th Street Resident who spent his final years walking our streets, gathering signatures with trembling hands to request a sidewalk! He stood before council, his voice filled with urgency as he spoke about the safety of children and elderly residents forced onto the road. Despite his unwavering dedication and his plea for basic protection, his requests were met with indifference and silence. As your candidate, I promise that these voices will never be dismissed again. I am running to ensure that every resident is heard with respect and that your safety concerns lead to immediate, compassionate action.

Collingwood’s future depends on our collective action. Whether you want to volunteer, request a lawn sign, or simply share your vision for our community, I am here to listen and engage. Join my journey to build a more responsive and inclusive town council.
